The Framing School runs a four day course four times a year. A maximum of 6 students allows each student individualised attention.

Advanced courses are available for more experienced framers focusing on specialised topics such as conservation, mat cutting, mat decoration and needle art.

The school has been established and is run by June Andersen GCF. June has almost 30 years experience in the framing industry and has been teaching professional picture framing for over 20 years.

Prior to founding The Framing School in Australia in 1993, June lived in Canada where she owned and operated a framing studio and taught for the Professional Picture Framers Association (PPFA).

June is a Guild Commended Framer (GCF). This qualification is awarded by the Fine Art Trade Guild in the United Kingdom. She is a recognised authority in the field of conservation and preservation framing and is a regular speaker and educator at the industry framing shows. She also contributes articles to the Australian picture framing industry magazine, Art & Framing Profile.

Apart from teaching, June operates along with her colleague Jochen Letsch GCF, Andersen Shaw & Associates. ASA is a specialised conservation framing workshop that services a number of Museums and Galleries around Sydney as well as a large private client base.
